We are proud to announce that Vipul Desai has joined Lloyd as our Senior Business Development Executive. Vipul will lead our new business relationships focusing on our solutions and managed services offerings. Vipul’s extensive experience in the industry makes him the perfect fit in identifying new business development opportunities and becoming a trusted advisor to key executives.

A CLIENT-CENTRIC BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY

Vipul is no stranger to building strategic long-term relationships with clients. Throughout his career, he has successfully developed and maintained effective key client relationships as well as ensured business growth through directing and managing business development activities.

Be Better. This resonated with me. Anyone can provide IT services, but Lloyd’s core values and client-centric business philosophy is what drew me to this organization,” said Vipul. “It’s very much in line with how I’ve serviced my clients throughout my tenure providing consultative IT solutions to Financial Services firms. I always put myself in the shoes of the client; expressing compassion and empathy when we are sorting out challenges they may be facing. I’m happy to be joining a team with similar sensibilities.”

A VOCATION TOWARDS CORPORATE GROWTH & BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

From working at an MSP to eventually owning it, Vipul’s strategic background is top notch. Vipul started his career at an MSP, specializing in the Title Insurance industry, where he wrote software that was sold and supported. Several years later, he subsequently bought and took over that business. From 1993 to 2011, he owned and operated VDesai Consulting, where he expanded to other vertical markets and maintained profitability every year. Looking to expand his knowledge and expertise, he joined Proactive Technologies in 2011 as Senior Account Manager.

For the next 9 years at Proactive, he expanded and sharpened his experience within the financial services industry focusing on the IT needs of hedge funds, private equity firms, and REITs. He was a primary contributor for managing accounts and client engagement, retention, and providing consultative solutions to C-suite leaders. He particularly excelled at understanding clients’ current and future needs, frequently resulting in cross-selling and up-selling revenue. Throughout his years at Proactive, Vipul worked directly with the CEO to build a successful business which led to its acquisition by Abacus Group.

In his personal life, Vipul loves photography, traveling, and cooking; he’s notorious for making the best homemade pizza from scratch. In addition to the invaluable experience he brings to Lloyd, we might request a private tasting from our new culinary expert.
