Manage your Taskbar

Your Taskbar is usually located at the bottom of your screen. It includes the Start button (Windows XP) or the Windows Or (Windows Vista), along with tabs for programs and applications that are currently open.

Customizing the size and configuration of your Taskbar can make it easier to identify and switch back and forth between your open applications.
  • Right-click on an empty area in the Taskbar to make sure that Lock the Taskbar option is unchecked
  • Hover your cursor over the top edge of the Taskbar until it changes to the resizing cursor
  • Hold and drag the cursor to increase the size (height) of the Taskbar
With more space, you can see each minimized application and it is easier to switch between applications.

You can also drag your entire Taskbar to one side of your screen and tile it vertically instead of the traditional horizontal alignment.
